Fresas Con Crema
Fresas con crema or strawberries and cream. Whether you had the Mexican version or the American they are both a great dessert. Unfortunately one is not superior to the other, and by one I mean the American version. This is such an easy dessert to make. And I mean easy, but it is so delicious. There are many ways you can make fresas con crema. Some people like to add sour cream to their recipe others like to add raisins and granola. I prefer a more simple version that can be used to customize the final product.
Fresas Con Crema Direction Help
The first step to making this recipe is to combine your evaporated milk, lechera, and heavy cream together. You have the choice of not adding in the heavy cream but it does serve a purpose. Adding the heavy cream not only helps cut back on the sweetness but it also helps thicken the mixture. Plus any leftover heavy cream can be used to make whipped cream. Once your milks have been combined and everything is incorporated, place it in the fridge to cool.
The next step would be to cut your strawberries. You can cut them any way you want there are some that do slices others do quarters. This part is honestly your preference. I choose to do quarters because they don’t get as soggy as slices. At this point you have two options you can add your strawberries to your cream. Or you can keep them separated which is what I prefer to do. Only because it prevents the strawberries from getting soggy which I don’t like. There are a few ways you can eat this, you can add granola to it which is pretty popular or you can serve it with whipped cream.
