Oui Crepes!
Crepes, are one of the easiest desserts you can make. It is very forgiving and allows you to make endless combinations and creations. When you eat a crepe you can’t help but feel fancy, and happy cause you know they are delicious. If you didn’t like crepes you would not be here right now reading this. Hey, how you do in. Point being crepes are special, and will always make you look like a badass if you make them. Which is why I’m sharing my BASIC crepe recipe that you can pimp out to be anything! So let’s go!
Crepe Direction Help
Let me just start off by saying if you have a blender it is going to make your life a lot easier. I, unfortunately, did not have a blender, for some reason hotels do not provide you with one. But that’s beside the point if you don’t have blender ill tell you how to make the batter without it.
In a large bowl add in your flour, sugar, vanilla, eggs melted butter, and one cup of your milk. Mix until well incorporated, add in one cup of milk and mix again. When it is incorporated add your last cup of milk and mix until smooth. For best results leave it in the fridge overnight.
Once your batter is ready to use a 1/3 cup to pour your batter into a nonstick pan. If you don’t have nonstick pans and have crapy hotel pans as I did. You can use butter to help them not stick, but usually, if you can get the pan hot enough, it helps them not stick. When cooking your crepes you want to cook them on each side for one to two minutes.
When all of the crepes are done it is time to build! You can make a crepe cake, or you can fill them with goodies. I chose to do strawberries and Nutella, cheesecake with berries, and banana foster. But like I mentioned you can fill these with anything you want. If you want Savory Crepes just remove the Vanilla and Sugar and a tsp of salt and pepper. This will allow you to fill them with eggs, bacon, and all that fun breakfast stuff, or ham and cheese. Whatever you choose it will be your creation.
